DOT Compliance Services
Our DOT Compliance Services department's job is to keep employees in safety-sensitive positions that fall under the DOT
drug and alcohol regulations in compliance with the required random program. We have the largest Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
(FMCSA) and Pipeline and Hazardous Material Administration (PHMSA) Consortium in East Texas. Our Consortium is in compliance with DOT Federal and
State auditors as well as NCMS, Exxon Mobil, EnCana, Gulf South and many more.
The U.S. Department of Labor has determined that, “Three quarters of adult drug abusers are in the workplace…businesses and
workers pay for this abuse in terms of accidents, errors and illness” (USDOL website). To combat this, businesses and communities are taking
steps to ensure drug free work places and neighborhoods. All companies regulated by the US Department of Transportation
(DOT) are required to have their employees in safety sensitive positions, tested for alcohol and drugs. Many companies extend their drug
testing to all employees whether or not they fall under DOT regulations. A comprehensive drug testing program is a key element in creating an active
drug free workplace.
“Don’t wait until you get an audit letter!
Get in compliance today!”
Save Time & Money: Most companies do not have the knowledge, time, or resources to compile, complete
and report all the statistical data that is required by DOT, let alone stay abreast of changes in rules and regulations. Our DOT Department
handles all compliance issues under 49 CFR PART 40, including policy development, SAP (Substance Abuse Professionals) contacts,
Supervisor Training on drug and alcohol indicators in the workplace, DOT Consortium Random Statistical Data, up-dating monthly and quarterly
randoms, and audit support.
